Now, while experiencing the local transport is all and good, being picked up by a personal driver in a car with air con, blacked out windows and bottles of water is much better.
Being driven around allows time for some sleep to rest my fuzzy head and prepare for the day ahead.
The wall itself can been seen in the distance as you approach, sat on top of the highest points across the mountains (1001m above sea level)
To get up to the top is a few steep steps and while you can walk all the way, we took the cable car option.
To try and describe what is classed as 1 of the wonders of the modern world cannot be done. Once the awe subsides you then start to consider what this would have taken to build all those years ago way up here.
The weather was humid and misty and as such views were possibly not as good as they could have been, but just standing on top of the world was more than enough for me.
Its certainly one to cross off of the list and will take a long time to beat :)
